FO's, but not mine!

Last weekend, my daughter and I took a mother daughter apron class. V picked the fabric (the embroidered denim to the right) and off we went! You can't really tell it from her finished photo, but there are two pockets on the skirt part, and the skirt is gathered into the waistband. We started to run out of time, mostly because one of the Moms decided that the pattern called for in the supplies list wasn't to her liking. She got a completely different pattern, with scallops and facing and all sorts of INVOLVED sorts of things. The teacher had to read through the pattern, and familiarize herself with it before she could direct them what to do. It was vastly time consuming, and just a tad annoying. So, in the interest of getting V's apron finished, I stopped working on mine, and focused on hers. When we left, she was the first one done. :)

The last picture is of a pillow she made the day after her class. She's had the machine for a year, but hasn't been allowed to use her pedal, because she just wouldn't listen to my safety instructions. After her class, she did so well with her machine, she is now allowed to use her pedal. So, she made a quilted pillow! "It's a little twisted," she said as she handed it to me. I told her, "No it isn't! Mobius is all the rage right now! You've made a mobius pillow!" We could sell the pattern and make a fortune!
