Noob Knitting!
With a title like that, I should be knitting a Borg, not a Dalek! I've just finished the first round of bobbles. I can't say I'm a fan. Next go I might use buttons. I'd like to make a miniature version for my desk at work, too.
My daughter has asked to watch with me, so we've begun season 1 all over again. She keeps asking me what I'm making and I keep telling her, "You'll see!" lol
I'm testing out various ways of updating my blog from my droid.
Had a great weekend hanging out with friends. Met up with a friend from high school, and felt really old when I realized it had been at least 15 years since we had seen each other! We had a blast catching up.
I also spent a lot of time eating and drinking with another set of friends. There were men, kilts, fiber and booze... what more could you want?!
I love Ravelry with a passion. It brought knitting back into my life. It got me out of the house, living, laughing and enjoying things again. I've posted many of my projects over there (I'm tallyho) and I absolutely love project stalking others! It's an invaluable resource, great for the knitting community (nothing like free advertising!) I've bought yarn, books, needles, gadgets...all kinds of shit because of word of mouth on Ravelry.
I'm just happy to be knitting again!
So I thought I'd drag this here blog back to life a little. Maybe. :)
